Hey Tweeters,
In my hurried report last night I forgot several things. On the 16th,
we had what appeared to be an adult HARLAN'S x typical RED-TAILED HAWK
intergrade. It had chocolate brown plumage, a mostly frosty tail with no
red, very small amount of white on chest, unbarred primaries in flight, and
the primaries falling even with the tail. It was just south of the Monse
Bridge along the Okanogan River. Also over the Okanogan River there were 12
immature BARN SWALLOWS. We had a PRAIRIE FALCON along Cranes Rd on
Bridgeport Bar 2/17. The previously reported two male LONG-TAILED DUCKS were
seen at Bridgeport Bar. At one time we had 3 RED-TAILED HAWKS (adult rufous
morph, one light juvenile, and one *very* light juvenile).
