This was a disappointing year for our GBBC. Perhaps saddest to me was that we
have seen no Varied Thrush in the yard this winter, and the Bewick's Wren and
Song Sparrow that come by have visited less often and completely missed the 4 day
GBBC. RB Nuthatch didn't make it, and I've seen only one at a time this winter,
and that ve-e-e-ry seldom. This all may be due to a half-dozen large conifers
being taken out by 3 neighbors.

It missed the GBBC by a couple weeks, but I did have a Yellow-shafted Flicker in
the yard on 1/10. Does anyone know who reported the Gyrfalcon?
