This morning I searched for the Snohomish Gyr. No luck. So I headed for
Exit 27 off of I90 in search of the White Red-tailed Hawk. The bird was
waiting for me on a light pole at the exit. I watched it from 2:15 to 3PM
while it remained perched on the pole. This bird has a few tail feathers
that look like a normal adult red-tail. It has a few more dark feathers
here and there, but it's mostly white.

My luck having been recharged, I returned to the Snohomish Gyr site where
the gray morph was perched in the usual place. From 4 to 5:00 PM I watched
it as it preened and looked around. It was still perched there when I left.

It was a good day.
