I just wanted to double-check on this report, since a friend
described an all-white raptor in the area indicated by Ann early in
the winter as NOT likely to have been a Gyrfalcon, but more likely an
albino or leucistic Red-tail. I haven't seen the bird myself, so
just wanted to request more information on it.
My understanding was that all-white Gyrs are quite extraordinary in
these parts.
