Lynne Schultz's message about seeing a Hutton's Vireo reminded me that I also
saw one yesterday, when I was walking to meet Kathy at the SCC to see the
Redhead (which I, alas, missed). It was in the trees along the sidewalk just
a few feet west of Agua Verde, the restaurant/paddle shop at Boat St and
Brooklyn Ave NE.

And on Monday, for the first time in the 10 years we've spent at our house at
North Seattle, I heard and then saw a Red Breasted Nuthatch. It was at our
black oil feeder first, then went pecking along our dogwood tree.
Unfortunately I had to go to work but it was so wonderful seeing this tiny
bird!
