On December 11, Nancy LaFramboise found a female CANVASBACK at the Family
Fishing Pond in Columbia Park in Kennewick. It was there through at least
December 15.

Jeremy Shreve had a VARIED THRUSH in his North Richland yard on December 18.

On December 19, Eric Mundall reported a BARRED OWL in Connell. If
confirmed, this would be the 4th record in the Lower Columbia Basin.

On December 19, Mick and Betty Wise reported a MERLIN that has been in
their Kennewick neighborhood for the past month.

Ted Krishisky had a partial albino HOUSE SPARROW in his Richland yard on
December 21.

The COMMON GRACKLE that has been in the vicinity of Two Rivers Park in
Kennewick is now being reliably seen on a utility pole on Locust Street
between Finley Road and 22nd across from the park.

On December 28, Bob Woodley relocated the first winter GLAUCOUS GULL at the
Bateman Marina. He also found a good variety of diving dicks near Nelson
Island off Leslie Groves Park in Richland, including 40 LESSER SCAUP, 20
REDHEAD, 4 CANVASBACKS, and 12 BARROW'S GOLDENEYES.

On December 31, Kim Venetz and Bev Weisbrodt found a TUNDRA SWAN at McNary
National Wildlife Refuge.
