The feature birds is: Out of Town HOODED WARBLER

Sightings for Tuesday, December 31st

Out of town the HOODED WARBLER was again reported in Duncan at Glenora Road
and Miller Road.

At the base of the Tsawwassen Ferry Jetty the WILLET was again reported.

At Elgin Heritage Park in White Rock a male EURASIAN GREEN-WINGED TEAL was
reported.

Monday, December 30th

A female YELLOW-HEADED BLACKBIRD was observed along 68th Street in Delta.

December 29th

An immature YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKER was found just west of 38A Ave and
155th Street along a row of trees in White Rock.

An AMERICAN AVOCET was observed at Elgin Heritage Park 1km down from the
Yacht Club on the river bank also in White Rock.

In a late report a YELLOW-BILLED LOON was reported from the base of 1001
steps Park in White Rock. Nearby at the White Rock Pier an EARED GREBE and
2 WESTERN GULLS were also reported.

Out of town the male HOODED WARBLER was again seen in Duncan at the corner
of Glenora Road and Miller Road.

At the base of the Tsawwassen Ferry Jetty an EARED GREBE was observed not
far from shore. Also here was the WILLET. An AMERICAN KESTREL was seen
along Highway 17 not far from the Tsawwassen turn off and another AMERICAN
KESTREL was not far away at 41B Street and Delta Port Way.

Saturday, December 28th

Out of town, on the Duncan Christmas Bird Count a male HOODED WARBLER was
found! The bird was at the corner of Miller Road and Glenora Road on the
south side of Duncan.

A YELLOW-BILLED LOON was reported at the base of the Tsawwassen Ferry Jetty
on the south side. Also here along the shoreline was the WILLET and the
RUDDY TURNSTONE.

A male YELLOW-HEADED BLACKBIRD was in a flock of blackbirds along 68th
Street about a kilometer south of River Road in Delta.
