Birders

Over the last two days, while trying to "beef up" my year list, I've seen
some good sparrows in the Kelowna area...

AMERICAN TREE SPARROW 6 were in the weedy fields behind Thomson-Brook Pond
on Gordon Road (01/01/03).

SWAMP SPARROW 1 was in the weedy fields behind Thomson-Brook Pond on Gordon
Road (01/01/03) and another was in a small marsh along the railroad tracks
on the E. side of Woods Lake (01/02/03). The latter bird was seen by myself
and Chris Siddle.

HARRIS' SPARROW 1 imm. was along Lakha Road, just N. of its intersection
with Latta Road (01/02/03). Seen by myself and Chris Siddle.

LINCOLN'S SPARROW 1 was along Lakha Road, about 50 m. S. of Lipkovitz Road,
near an old shed on the E. side of the road (01/02/03). This bird was seen
by myself and Chris Siddle. What a beauty!
