Hiya tweets,

Yesterday late morning I was walking back home from Broadway and saw a ton of robins in my neighborhood. I estimated 400 or so, which was highly surprising for my stret. I have seen a lot more robins around the Madrone trees this season, but not normally this large a group in my neighborhood. Anyway, the interesting thing was 2 aberrant birds in the group. One had an entirely white head, and the other had a mostly hite head. I was within about 10 feet of both of them, and in all other ays they looked and acted like robins. They were almost scary looking, as their heads were really bone white making their large dark eyes really stand out. My wife and I called them piebald robins, but ar curious if this is a common recessive trait or not. I don't recall having scene this before, certainly not to the extent of these 2 birds.

Thanks folks! Good birding!
