Subject: TWO RIVERS CBC RESULTS

Hello All, WOW what a day! A wonderful warm(54F),clear,windless day at the mouth of the Walla Walla River. 79,804 birds of 84 species,26 participants and alot of walking through all kinds of habitat.Highlights of the outstanding job done by those that came out and gave of their time and skills were 21,661 N.Pintail, 41,523 Mallards, 653 Song Sparrows, 169 Bewicks Wrens, 10 Winter Wrens, 2 White-throated Sparrows, 1 Harris Sparrow, 2 Fox Sparrows,5 Lincolns Sparrows and two new species to this cbc 1 Loggerhead Shrike and 1 Western Bluebird. 2 Say's Phoebes and 1 Common Loon were also found. A huge thank-you to all that soaked up the sun and counted birds in the process. Today the 6th is dense pea soup fog and 28F across the Columbia Basin! Can we choose the right day or what.
