Mary Bond wrote two books about her husband. The first was published by
Collins in 1966 and is titled:" How 007 got his name." But unfortunately
it isn't easy to find on this side of "the pond". The one you are probably
thinking of was published in the USA in 1980: "To James Bond with Love."
This is a biography of Bond, James Bond!
