Dennis Paulson has a great site on bird diversity. Very interesting are his comments on the Sibley guide as it pertains to birds of our region (goes to show nothing beats experience in the field!). In particular he has some issues with Sibley's loons. There are also photos of bird wings (including loons) and a section on identification of Pacific NW gulls.
