This site is of the loon in question that I originally claimed as an
arctic on 12/26 and later backed down and called a common, which it is
at least in my opinion. What I'm curious about is are those that are
still reporting an Arctic Loon viewing this bird and still unsure about
the ID or is there another bird down bird in that area? Bob woodley
mentioned minimal flanks patches on the bird he found. "my" bird clearly
wasn't minimal and wasn't limited to just the flanks, which makes my
wonder if people have in fact discovered another loon down in that
stretch that was not the bird that I found on 12/26. If this is the case
and not still questions about the odd loon found on 12/26 could people
please post a description of this new bird.
