I also suggest considering the Pentax 8x42 DCF water proof, or for lighter
weight and lower price, the 8x32 DCF WP. Willoughby's in NY has a good
price, especially with the rebate. The brightness is very impressive. Once I
had to send them in for repair when the center hinge became somewhat loose;
Pentax fixed them under warranty and got them back within 2 weeks. They've
been fine ever since.
