Depends on how much you want to travel with it. I do photography and Bogen (Manfrotto) is the only way to go for me. I use a 3021 and a 3001. If you have the funds, take a look at the carbon fiber ones. They're lighter weight and more durable and rigid. Whatever one you go with, stick with one that uses a short center column. The longer ones give you more height, but less stability. Good luck!

Subject: Scope decided...but Tripods...?
Hey Tweets,
I wanted to thank everyone for their help and opinions on scopes. I decided on a Pentax 80mm with a 20-60X zoom eye-piece. The only complaint people had with the scope was the size and weight..something that isn't a huge issue with me because I am young and strong. But the next question is...what should I do tripod wise? I know I will want a good strong and steady tripod and from the looks of it a Bogen tripod is what I want. The next thing is what model? I have no idea what I should be paying for one either? Appreciate any input! Thanks.
