I hope that some of you had the fortune of attending Ken Dial's wonderful presentation of his chukar experiments and evolution-related findings at the AOU Conference two years ago. Of all the lectures I attended, Mr. Dial's was definitely the most intriguing (and entertaining!), complete the videos mentioned in the article. For those of you who don't know, Ken Dial hosted a TV show called "All-bird TV" a few years back on Animal Planet. Although not as comprehensive and professional as "The Life of Birds," it was the most entertaining bird-related television show I've ever seen. Ken put an interesting twist and plenty of humor into each show - for instance, making wings for himself to demonstrate the motion of a hummingbird's flight. Wonder where we'll see him next?
