Subject: Barn Swallows on San Juan Island

Dear Tweeters:

Today I saw at least a dozen Barn Swallows working the meadows near the
Cattle Point Lighthouse. This has to be some kind of a record for an early
appearance here on the island. We often read about the gradual northbound
wave of swallows on the mainland and usually have to wait a little longer
until they find there way across the Straits to us.

Best regards,
