Wednesday, January 15, 2003 2:08 p.m. This is Ted Kenefick,
206-523-5540. I'm up in the Silvana area today, where I relocated the
male RUSTY BLACKBIRD, which was reported earlier by Steve Mlodinaw.
Steve's directions are are perfect. From the Arlington-Silvana exit off
of I-5, go north on Pioneer Highway to Norman Road. Take a left. This is
westbound. Proceed about three-quarters of a mile to some farmhouses to
a dairy farm there. And the bird was first located by a small farm pond
on the right side of the road and then located a little bit later with
some BREWER'S BLACKBIRDS perched on the wire by the farmhouses
themselves. Thanks very much. Good luck and good birding.

Tuesday, January 14, 2003, 6:17 p.m. Hi, this is Kate Forster. My phone
number is 523-2931. I live on Ravenna Park and since Saturday, I have
been hearing a SPOTTED OWL. I haven't seen him, but right now I'm going
to go out with my binoculars and see if I can spot him. I'm in the 1700
block of Northeast 62nd, and he doesn't sound like he's very far away. I
don't know if that's rare or not. It sure is rare for me.

Birdbox last checked 10:45 p.m. Sunday, January 19, 2003.
