Close Scientific Instrument Co. in Seattle did an excellent job for me.
About four years ago I fell in a river wearing my birding binoculars. I was
told I would have to send them out of state (Alaska) for drying/repair. My
mother recommended Close. I had been in their shop before, and been
impressed by their knowledge and attitude then, so I contacted them to see
if they could do the work. They gave me instructions for packaging and
mailing the binoculars. They returned them in fine shape--on schedule, for
the price they estimated over the phone.
