On Saturday, two Barn Swallows were seen from the end of Boe Rd. during a
Seattle Audubon Field Trip lead by Mark Moon. Also seen from Boe Rd. were
Rough-legged Hawk, Red-tailed Hawk, Cooper's Hawk, American Kestrel, Marsh
Wren, American Wigeon, Mallard, GBH, Northern Harrier, Bald Eagle, Snow
Goose, and Trumpeter Swan. A Peregrine Falcon was scoped from Florence Rd.
On the return from Kyak Regional Park, we again stopped for the thousands of
Snow Geese that were quite close to the corner of Boe Rd. and Marine Drive.
Two dark-phase geese were seen at the front edge of the snow goose pack. One
dark-phase goose was ringed. It read RO vertically on the neck ring with a 5
on each side. An immature Cooper's Hawk was scoped at the Stanwood STP.
