On Saturday, January 18 as we drove north from Blewett Pass on US 97 we
watched 4 Wild Turkeys (1 male, 3 females) take off from an orchard and
fly across the highway and Peshastin Creek from west to east. This spot
is located a short distance north of the national forest boundary just
after US 97 emerges from the canyon, about 3 1/2 miles south of the
junction with US Highway 2.
