While at Juanita Bay Park, Kirkland, on Sunday, about a half-dozen Barn
Swallows made several passes over the lake. A Merlin was scoped and as far
as we could tell, it appeared to be eating a Song Sparrow. With about 3 1/2
hours of birding on Saturday morning and again on Sunday at JBP, 47 bird
species were seen and/or heard.
