Subject: Gray squirrel predators?

We live in a rural area and recently discovered a case of predation on E.
Gray Squirrel. A bit grisly, but the predator left one kidney, both sets of
intestines, and several chunks of fur with small meat pieces attached. The
area nearby showed signs of struggle. We are thinking a weasel did this,
owing to (a) the attraction of numbers of rabbits in the area, (b)
circumstances, and (c) the fact that we've seen weasel before here. Still,
seems like large prey for a weasel.
