heeeeeeey! i thought i was the only one who does that!

and by the way, courbet's blue-fronted amazon has the tail of a
conure (in other words; the shape of it is all wrong). otherwise,
his painting is absolutely fabulous!

i have noticed that birds tend to have a prominent role in art;
the egyptians depict them often, as do the south pacific islanders
and the south american indians. i am still exploring the wonders of
the met, so i am sure i will discover more birds there, too.

it's too bad that you all can't run out to the met with me to explore
the art (and the birds) there.
