For those of you who like Herschel's ramblings in Arkansas, here he
is on the coast of Oregon.

For an Arkansan, his natural history knowledge of our reason is
impressive. He made only one mistake, confusing our western hemlock
with the totally unrelated poison hemlock that Socrates drank. Well,
maybe two: the newt the Western Grebe had in its beak (I hope it
didn't swallow it, as they are deadly poisonous) must have been a
Rough-skinned Newt, not a (European) Fire-bellied Newt.

He makes no mistakes in the beauty of his writing, in my opinion.
