Every year at this time, my very busy hummingbird feeders are suddenly
deserted. This year, I have also been approached by three friends (one in
Auburn, one in Kent, and one in Maple Valley) asking what happened to their
hummingbirds, because they have suddenly stopped coming to the feeders? The
synchronicity is amazing, how they all stop coming at the same time! But
does anyone know why? I've never been able to figure this out, and I read my
Sibley last night (the behavior one) but he doesn't mention it.
