On July 4th I saw a Barnacle Goose off the Montlake Fill in with a group of
Canada Geese. The Nat Geo field guide suggests that any Barnacle Geese seen
outside the Nova Scotia area are probably escapees from farms. Is there any
information about this bird that might suggest it is a wild bird? It was in
the water and I did not see any band. Thanks for any help.
