For all of you hummingbird starved bird watchers, we finally edited the
hundreds of pictures we took last winter. Our male Rufous wintered at our
house in West Seattle from December 8 until April 28. We assume he has
located some friends with better compasses by now.

At our feeders we tend to see the juvenile birds of both species this time
of year. We have one female Anna's with only one leg. They seem to prefer
the plentiful natural food they get from flowers and insects over the
feeders. Yesterday we observed an Anna's plucking bugs out of a spider web.
