Couldn't stay inside and popped out of the cube for a few minutes. Tide is way up. Just saw the COMMON MERGANSER family (ad. fem. with 7 young) I previously noted 1/2 mile upstream on 7/1/03. Also, LEAST SANDPIPERS (at least a dozen) are feeding in the vegetation across the basin.
