Much cooler with a medium westerly breeze during today's 11:00-11:35am viewing during an incoming tide. Confirmed that two OSPREY nestlings are in the Hamm Creek (power substation) nest. There may be even a third, but next week I'll probably know that for sure. Few birds at this low-tide period. I talked with several folks walking by who were interested in seeing the Ospreys.

A couple of guys, who do roof repairs here at Boeing, have watched the Ospreys for the past few years. One of them mentioned that last year a large stick fell from the nest (the nest that used to be on the power tower on the east side of the river) onto the power lines causing a loud "boom" and flash when it hit the wires. That may be the reason the nest was resited on the other side of the river on the pole.

Red-tailed Hawk (first bird seen today; soared in area for about 20 mins, but was harassed by a persistent crow for the last ten minutes, including when the RTHA soared to a height that was almost out of eyeball range. The crow only quit when the RTHA headed southwest of the river.)
