In thursday I checked Crockett Lake on Whidbey Island
for migrating shorebirds and found about 100 peeps,
70% Westerns and 30% Least Sandpipers. As far I could
tell, there were no other shorebird species present.
I also checked the shallow lake near Swantown, to find
10 Westerns and 4 Leasts.
This evening I made a quick check again of Crockett
and found 300-400 peeps. I didn't have time to put
the scope on them, but I didn't find any bird of any
other size class with my bins.
Happy Shorebirding
