Subject: Winged Migration full of errors?

Has anyone seen this movie? I hope the movie is better than the web site
of the same name.

Going online to read about Sony's new documentary titled, "Winged
Migration," after hearing good reviews about it, I was startled by a
number of embarrassing errors on the Sony web site dedicated to the
movie.

This web page, http://www.sonyclassics.com/wingedmigration/home.html
,from that site, shows supposed migration routes for 14 species. The
page contains a Shockwave animation of their migration routes.

The most outrageous thing is that it shows Gray Partridge as migrating
from northern Europe and Asia to sub-Saharan Africa. The Mallard is
depicted as migrating from North America to central South America even
though there are no wild records for that continent. And a large white
heron or egret is used to represent the ibises. The non-existent
"Trumpet Swan" is shown migrating from Iceland and northern Russia to
Great Britain. What's going on?

There may be other errors for species I am not as familiar with.

Scott
