Hi Birders,

To all of who missed the original publication of Audubon to Xantus it is now
available as a scanned reprint. I was reluctant to pay the original publisher
price which I think was near or in $70s and hoped to get it used.
Unfortunately it went out of print and even though I have regularly have used
BookFinders and eBay to see if a copy was available I have never seen a copy used. My
last check of Bookfinders turned up the reference of the reprint through Buteo
Books. I ordered my copy today, after Allen's response for information about
the book. See below.

The usual disclaimer: I have no interest in the book or Buteo books except
from my desire to see the independent bookstore stay in business.

Hello John, This is a paperback reprint, but the process is not traditional.
As I understand it, the original was scanned and printed from disc for this
reprint. The binding is perfect bound with stiff covers which depict the dust
jacket of the original hardcover. The price is $45 and we acquired an initial
stock of 100 copies. The hardbound version is hard, if not impossible, to find.
