I'm w/Gary on this one. As a courtesy I always spell out the birds'
names at least 1x before using the codes, but then code w/abandon. Plan to
continue doing so as well.

Frankly I think it'd be a total waste of our administrator's time to
pester him about banning the codes. We then might as well ban poor English,
poorly formatted posts that are extremely difficult to read, posts that take
up more than one screen, posts that take forever to get to the point, etc.
There are lotsa things we could get really petty about. But why? Sheesh!
Deal w/the codes or not, it's your choice. It isn't as if we're obligated
to read every single item that shows up on the list.
