Greetings to Ryan Merrill and Michael Donahue,
For both of you I like to write this message to let you know how much I
appreciate you wrote such good direction to find this White-tailed
Pharmigan.It took me some time to hike up the steep trails and than the
heat,but I made it and after the large snow field we had two males right
away only to discover that two other males was across the trail who than
walked on the trails to join the other two males.I could not tear myself
away from this four males and the Rosy Finches flying all over the place.I
took many rolls of film on this birds since this Birds are my first ever
after going always to Sunrise to find them,
I Know that most birders been sighting females and this is probable the
first time ever that so many males was on one place.We had the birds close
to the road ,but as more people used the trail there moved further up the
hill,but could be still seen with binoculars.As we watched sitting on rocks
we had many birders showed up to see this birds and every one had excellent
looks at them.We hear from two other birders who saw the female with there
young today but moved further up where there was hard to see.I am so trilled
to be fortune to see this four males so close to watch them.
