I have one adult male Black-headed Grosbeak Pheuticus melanocephalus in
breeding plumage that died from what appears to be a window strike,
although I'm not sure. Is this a candidate for a West Nile Virus
researcher? Usually I'd save it for the local raptor rehab facility or
offer the skin to a biology department, both of which are still
possibilities, but thought I'd ask about this first. I've not seen anything
re the incidence of West Nile Virus in this species.
