Sightings for July 31

A juvenile RED-NECKED PHALAROPE was at MacKay's Reservoir on the Vernon
Commonage along with 2 WILSON'S PHALAROPE, 4 SOLITARY SANDPIPERS and 3
LONG-BILLED DOWITCHERS (CC). Also on the reservoir, amongst a few hundred
ducks was a female NORTHERN PINTAIL (CC).


Sightings for July 28

In Salmon Arm, the resident adult CLARK'S GREBE was seen from the Salmon Arm
Pier (LN).

A WHITE-WINGED SCOTER was on Okanagan Lake on the N. side of Poplar Point in
Kelowna (GW).

In Vancouver, a breeding plumage LITTLE STINT was at the Iona Sewage Ponds
on the 27 and 28th of July (fide RT). Call the Vancouver Rare Bird Alert for

Sightings for July 27

A bird fitting the description of a WHITE-TAILED KITE was seen along
Westside Road, 6 km N. of the Fintry Delta (BH).

In Salmon Arm the CLARK'S GREBE was again seen from the Salmon Arm Pier and
a PEREGRINE FALCON was seen from the dog park at the foot of Narcisse Road
(HV).
