Hi Tweeters,

Late this afternoon I was in the Othello area to see if I could find the
White-faced Ibis. No success at the Para Ponds so I wandered up the road
two and a half miles and took the turn-off to the right to Lyle, Herman, and
other lakes. It is a gravel road marked by Public Fishing and Public
Hunting signs. Six tenths of a mile up that road is a creek. About 5 p.m.
I saw a BLACK-CROWNED NIGHT HERON in the creek on the south side of the
road. It flew up to a rock outcropping on the east side of the creek and
just perched. I had very good views of it.
