I checked the front ponds for Phalaropes this evening around 7:00pm and
was joined by Gary + Jan Wiles around 7:15pm. We scanned the ponds
looking for a Red Necked, but could only find 4 Wilson's. About 7:30pm
the BLACK TERN showed up flying around. I left Gary + Jan and headed for
the twin barns where I had 1 LAZULI BUNTING. I then later rejoined Gary
+ Jan, and Jim Pruske back at the pond. The Black Tern was still flying
about and was still flying when Jim and I left at 8:30pm. After Gary +
Jan had left, Jim and I scanned the ponds a little longer. We came up
with 2 more WILSON'S PHALAROPES for a total of 6 (3 males 3 females),
and 2 LEAST SANDPIPERS.
