Hi, All,

Around 6 p.m. yesterday, Ginger Rebstock pointed out a pair of PURPLE MARTINS
skimming over Lake Washington just south of the gourds and other nest boxes at
the Montlake Fill. One of the gourds had a Tree Swallow in it that subsequently
flew. The Martins were hitting the water frequently in their rather brief
pursuit of whatever.

We, also saw no RB Grosbeaks about an hour later than Matt at the 15 MPH sign.
In fact, we had no Grosbeaks of any kind. Is anyone seeing BH Grosbeaks there
anymore?

Alan got some good video of the two pairs of W. Phalaropes at Shoveler's Pond.
He also tried for the Purple Martins as they moved on, but the tape is not zoomed
in enough to identify them.

Patricia
