hi all.

an interesting thing happened to me yesterday. i went to bob heirmann
wildlife area the other day in search on animal tracks on the sandbar near
the river. taking the "adventurous" route through the field and past the
large, solitary cedar tree, i found myself dive-bombed repeatedly by a
harrier - talons outstretched & all. i looked around for a nest, but
couldn't see it. the bird was actually pretty agressive - i ended up
diving to the ground a few times and then sprinting across the field as
fast as a could to get away. it stopped chasing me after about 100 yards.

anyone every had an experience like that? any idea what might have
inspired the bird to do this?
