Today on Lake Sammamish I installed five new purple martin boxes at the old
pilings near Marymoor Park. They are in two clusters just north of the other
Cecily Way martin boxes, and are visible from East Lake Sammamish Parkway. A
scope would be helpful. One martin was present briefly as I was putting up
the new boxes; it called as it swooped around high over the water. Tree
swallows were inspecting the new boxes right away; two pair are nesting in
the boxes.
