Subject: Yard Nesters

We had to reconstruct our chickadee nestbox and were not
sure if it still met specifications, but they finally did nest and
fledged in the last week. This gives us hope, being so early,
of a possible second nesting. It has happened in the past.

Bewick's Wren nested again, 9/10 years running.

Bushtits have a nest somewhere nearby within a yard or two.

Robins, pretty reliable.

And, we've tried to attract hummingbirds for years, with minimal success.
They are all over the yard this year. We put up two feeders and have
hopes
that they are or have nested. They are very active.

Urban fuzzy bird yards do work. Make it bird friendly.
You never know who'll show up.
