In re: Cliff Drakes bread filled birdbath.

I have watched crows dunking bread in puddles to soften the bread before
eating. They apparently can sense the dryness of the bread and take it to water
to soften it up before eating. One crow, however, had a beakful and every time
it put down its bread another crow would steal it before the rightful owner
could eat it. This was the same crow that, when bored, would pull out the
plant markers in my flower bed and strew them about the yard.
