I'd like to add similar questions , e.g., what in the world can we do to (1)
discourage the birds from living in our parks, (2) find a "humane" way to
dislodge them once they've settled in, (3) decide on a hunting season to take
place at various times all over the country to in some way control the
population. It's obvious that we have to do something that may be regarded as odious .
.. . because it involves a bird and not another species?

I must add that I cannot simply pick up the phone . . . and suggest what?
