Hello, this is the Audubon society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday June 12. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls at

On June 9 a vociferous BRONZED COWBIRD was reported at Cape Lookout State
park. It could not be relocated.

The SEDGE WREN continues to be seen on the North Spit of Coos Bay. On June 5
a COMMON GRACKLE was three miles west of The Dalles. A female COMMON GRACKLE
was near the Malheur Field Station June 7. On June 10 an OVENBIRD was near
Florence.

On June a TENNESSEE WARBLER was at Malheur NWR Headquarters. The next day a
BLACK-AND-WHITE WARBLER and an OVENBIRD was at Headquarters. On June 8 a
LEAST FLYCATCHER was at Frenchglen. The next day one was at Burns Junction
near Rome. On June 11 a possible male SUMMER TANAGER was at Malheur NWR
Headquarters.

On June 5 three HORNED PUFFINS flew past the Sea Lion Caves, north of
Florence. Ten HEERMANN?S GULLS were at Yaquina Head the same day.

On June 11 a BLUE-WINGED TEAL nest was found on Sauvie Island. On June 6 a
WHITE-FACED IBIS was at the Vanport Wetlands in North Portland. A THREE-TOED
WOODPECKER nest was recently found at the Annex Parking Lot of Mt. Hood
Meadows. A BLACK-BACKED WOODPECKER nest is near table 15 at Lost lake
Campground east of Mt. Hood.

On June 5 an EASTERN KINGBIRD was in Corvallis. A PECTORAL SANDPIPER was at
Fern Ridge Reservoir June 5.

A LEAST FLYCATCHER was near Black Butte Ranch June 8. On June 9 a SOLITARY
SANDPIPER was near Big lake in Santiam pass. A female COMMON GOLDENEYE was
on nearby Torso Lake, and a COMMON LOON was on Suttle Lake. On June 5 a male
COSTA?S HUMMINGBIRD was at Chiloquin.
