On 2 June at Lyons Ferry State Park, Franklin Co WA., Bruce LeBar and Bill
Tweit found a BROWN THRASHER. The state park is along WA 261, at the Snake
River, at the jct of Franklin, Whitman, Columbia, and Walla Walla counties.

LEAST FLYCATCHERS are being reported across the region. In Douglas Co WA,
Dave Beaudette reports birds from 6 June. One was in a thick growth of
poplars along the Central Ferry Cyn Road, 0.7 mile from Cranes Road. WA
DeLorme 100, D-2. Two more were at the Wells Wildlife Area on the Bridgeport
Bar. One was at the access on Grange Road at Port Road while the other was
at the access on WA 173 at milepost 8.4. WA DeLorme 100, D-3. Another WA
LEAST FLYCATCHER was seen 8 June by several birders at the Ringold Area,
Franklin Co. Go past the entrance to the refuge on Ringold Road and park in
first parking lot on left. Look toward the river; both birds were seen to
the right of the large grove of trees. Also on 8 June, Gina Sheridan found a
LEAST FLYCATCHER in northern Idaho. This bird was along Black Rock Road east
of ID 3, just south of the Coeur d'Alene River in Kootenai Co near the Lane
Marsh. The bird was near the driveway of the second house, addressed S17701.

Warren Current reports 2 reports of NORTHERN MOCKINGBIRD in the Colville,
Stevens Co WA area during the first week of June. On June 6, Lowell Dubbels
saw one on Peachcrest Road which turns south from US 395 west of Kettle
Falls, WA less than a half mile from the Lake Roosevelt bridge. About the
same time, Jerry Cline also saw one at his home, about 5 miles out the
Williams Lake Road, which turns north off US 395 about a mile north of
Colville.

On 11 June, Bob Flores reports a female PURPLE MARTIN flew over his office
in Othello, Adams Co, WA.

On June 8, Steve Mlodinow, Ryan Shaw, and Bob Flores had an AMERICAN
GOLDEN-PLOVER at the Iowa Beef wetlands in western Walla Walla Co WA. To
get ther, follow Dodd-Iowa Beef Road which is at US 12 milepost 301.5 about
5.5 miles north of the jct of US 12 and US 730. Follow Dodd-Iowa east about
0.5 mile past the slaughter house, the road goes down a little hill and then
back up. At the top, turn right onto a gravel road that used to be a
railroad grade. Follow it to settling ponds. WA DeLorme 40, CD-1.

A GREAT EGRET was seen 13 June in the Hoo Doo Valley, Bonner Co ID according
to Shirley Sturts. From Athol, drive north on US 95 about 4 miles to
milepost 453, turn left onto Granite Loop Road which runs into Kelso Lake
Road. Turn left onto Kelso. The marsh with the egret was 6.7 miles after
turning off US 95. See the map in "A Birders' Guide to Idaho," page 38 and
ID DeLorme 62, C-1.

A late but interesting report is that of a GREAT GRAY OWL near Winchester,
Lewis Co ID on May 2, according to Ron Jursavich (sp?). If you're
