Hello All,
Today Mike Willison, MerryLynn and I spent the day out in the field birding Walla Walla, Columbia, Garfield and Asotin counties. We left home at 7:30 and 12 hrs later returned home to College Place. Highlights for the day are as follows:
2 Green-tailed Towhees at a site one eighth mile east of the Wenatchee Guard Station, Umatilla N.F., Asotin Co. and down slope 175' site marked off to the south of road by four stacked rocks. Line up with the top of the tree to the south and proceed right off and down over the edge carefuly. Pair of GTTO are on territory directly below last Doug Fir in the wash. Set to west of draw and listen for song.

Also discovered 4 singing Red-eyed Vireos along Asotin Cr., Asotin Co..

Located 2 Gray Catbirds singing at the eastern third of the Chief Timothy HMU east of the park in Asotin Co.

Spotted 3 Forsters Terns just west of the Chief Timothy Park near where HWY 12 leaves the Snake River in Asotin Co.

Found 1 male Williamsons Sapsucker at Alder Thicket C.G., south of Pomeroy on the Umatilla N.F. in Garfield Co.

Spent 2 hrs searching for GTTOs on Biscuit Ridge in a very cold wind with no birds seen or heard. Great day out and great company!
Later Mike
