Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday June 26. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls at

A possible singing EASTERN WOOD-PEWEE was heard June 20 along the Grande
Ronde River at the Hilgard Rifle Range south of LaGrande. The SEDGE WREN
continues to be seen on the North Spit of Coos Bay. On June 21 a MANX
SHEARWATER and a possible CRAVERI?S AUKLET were off the South Jetty of the
Columbia River. A number of RHINOCEROS AUKLETS were there also. A male
ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK was in Eugene June 23.

The first southbound WESTERN SANDPIPERS arrived along the coast on June 25.
RED CROSSBILLS are now increasing west of the Cascades, and reports of
wandering LAZULI BUNTINGS are being reported.

A NORTHERN MOCKINGBIRD was on the North Spit of Coos Bay June 22. A SAY?S
PHOEBE was in Gearhart June 19.

At least 12 WHITE PELICANS are now on Sauvie Island, 14 are still being
reported from Fern Ridge Reservoir. A MOCKINGBIRD was at Fern Ridge June 24..
An EASTERN KINGBIRD was east of Medford June 17 near Lake of the Woods.
THREE-TOED WOODPECKERS are nesting this year at the Elk Lake Burn south of
Bend.
