Hi Catherine and Tweeters,

Medina Park is in a community off of Bellevue. Construction may make it be a bit tricky to get there. If the NE 8th exit is open, take it west and drive through town past Bellevue Sqaure. Go straight through the light that is past the mall and eventually NE 8th winds into NE 12th, no turning required. About 1 1/2 miles past the mall NE 12th stops at a 5 way intersection, with a Chevron on the left. Go straight and the park is on the left. It is a busy park, dogs are very welcome there. Park in the NE 12th lot and the heron nests are in a big cottonwood tree overlooking the pond.

The Oriole's have dispersed already...that didn't take long...

Speaking of the heron's, I found out I can't count. The top nest still has 4 babies, one must have been hunkered down the other day. What amazes me is that the 2nd from top nest has 4 in it! All this time I have been counting 3 in that nest. Oh well, live and learn. So to the best of my current knowledge there are 13 young in 4 nests total.

Today was Barn Swallow fledgling day. There were 4 of them lined up on a branch looking very cute.
